| Eric Gabbitas began his career
in domestic banking with National Westminster Bank in 1971 before
turning to stockbroking. He joined Rowe & Pitman in 1974,
and became an Authorised Dealer. He moved to Henderson Crosthwaite
in June 1981 as an Institutional Dealer, becoming a member of
The London Stock Exchange, and transferred to the Private Client
side of the business in October 1986.
In 1992 he became Head of Dealing and subsequently was appointed
a Board Director. He remained Head of Dealing after the
Investec Carr Sheppards merger and transferred back to the Institutional
Business in March 2000.
He joined Close in October 2006. Eric is President of The
Stock Exchange Athletic club and is a Member of the Securities
Institute.
