Adam, who is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and has over 25 years of investment management experience running private client, institutional and charity funds, joined Close Brothers from Invesco Private Portfolio Management five years ago.
Having started off reading Urban Land Economics, Adam then changed track, joining the City as an institutional sales trainee with Hedderwick Stirling Grumbar and Quilter Goodison before a stint with Fergusson Brothers (now Investec) in South Africa.
On returning to the UK in 1986 he became a Member of the London Stock Exchange and joined Capel-Cure Myers (now Gerrard) in the same year, where he spent 13 years, becoming their youngest Director and heading their largest UK fund management team before joining Invesco.
